I don’t know what it was about this pattern that struck me as so funny and cute.  I’m normally not at all about the “cute”.  But the little family of knitted ducks in this book just did it for me.  So with a minimum of knitting and a lot of sewing up (I hate sewing!), we have this cute little duck.  I don’t yet have a name for him, but it just makes me smile to look at him.  Hope he does the same for you!  Not much other knitting going on – sock progress is stalled, but I’m also waiting for some yarn to start a birthday pair of socks for Daniel (future BIL), whose birthday is sometime in August but I’m not sure when (Bren can you help?).  I know that as soon as his yarn gets here (Trekking XXL 102 Shades of Gray) I’ll have to drop everything to get them done, so I guess I just don’t feel committed to my socks right now.  And I want to make more ducks!!!
