Teeny tiny test sock

I signed up to help beta test a Mac version of Sock Wizard this weekend, thinking, “how hard could it be?”  OK, maybe not hard, just time-consuming, but it was really interesting to see how all of this stuff worked.  It was also really cool to have a bunch of Mac knitters to do this with!  Anyway, one of our final tests was to knit a heel from a generated pattern.  Why knit just a heel, when you can do a tiny little sock?  The pattern was written for a child’s sock, but with a 4.25 st/inch gauge.  I used some leftover LL sock yarn, and size 1 needles, and made this cute little sock.  It used Carole Wulfert’s Ultimate Diagonal Heel, which I’ll admit was not hard, just a bit fiddly.  I still have to go back and generate one last pattern of my own making, which I’ll do here shortly, but I just had to post this cute little sock.  And no, I’ll probably never make its mate, because I know nobody with feet this tiny, so I guess there will be an extra .5 pair on my ticker for a while!
