Like a chicken with my head cut off…

So much time, so little to do.  Scratch that, reverse it!  I’m running around like a maniac today trying to get ready to fly out in the morning.  Greensboro to Minneapolis, about 8 1/2 hours to hang out at Mom’s, then Minneapolis to L.A.  That’s right, L.A.  Then Sunday we hop on board the Sea Socks Cruise – woo hoo!  I’m so excited I can’t stand it.  Of course the important things are packed first:

Because, you know, if they lose the bag with my yarn, needles, and books, I will be a basketcase.  Clothes I can live without (though no one around me may want to breathe) but if I don’t have my needles for a week you may have to shoot me.  I’m going to meet (and take classes from!) famous yarn people – Mama E, Amie, Eunny, and Alison!  I may have a bit of celebrityitis when I get back.  And of course, special thanks to the Queen for putting this whole shindig together!

Fresh off the needles and out of the washer, just in time for the trip comes the Noni “Explorer” hobo bag – before and after.

It’s so cute I can’t stand it – and special thanks to Kim for coming over this morning to sew in my zipper and sew on the rings.  It would still be in pieces and I would be in tears right now.  Now it’s ready for the trip!

I finished up two more pairs of socks – one for Mom, and one for our friend Emily, who has been fighting a pretty nasty health battle these last several weeks.  I took her socks to her the other day, and the next request is for a hot pink beanie and a lemon cheesecake (she’s 16, ok?).  So, as soon as I get back, I’m sure those will be the next to-do items on the list.  Here are the socks (Mom’s first, then Emily’s):

I hope everyone has a great week!  I’ll be off the radar this week – no internet at all!
