My original goal for this year was to knit 3 pair of socks per month – 1 for me, and 2 to give away.  Somewhere around March I realized this was probably insane, and backed it down to 2 per month, with at least 1 of those for someone else.  I just tallied up socks so far this year – 17 pairs, and only 5 for me.  If I had stuck with the original goal, by the end of June I should have finished up 18 pairs, with only 6 for me.  I’m working on 18 and 19 now – one for me, one for Mom!  I doubt I can keep up this pace for the rest of the year, but I certainly have enough sock yarn!
