Nesting, labor, and delivery – an odyssey!

I was thinking this morning, while I was out on my daily Home Depot run, that all of this has kind of been like another pregnancy.  Sure, it hasn’t lasted 9 months, and I haven’t gained (much) weight, but the last seven weeks of labor have been hard.  My other 2 were only 13.5 hours each (strange, I know, that it was the same time on both), and though they were certainly more painful, this one has just dragged on and on.  The room is not quite done, but it’s certainly liveable, and we leave in about 15 minutes to go pick up DD #3.  Today has definitely felt like nesting – I’ve been running around trying to clean up, which is hard when there is molding in your kitchen floor and the table is pushed across the room, and there are boxes full of tools and paint stuff on the dining room table.  Well, eventually it will get back to normal around here.  There’s still trim to hang and paint, and a few minor things, but I have definitely learned some stuff along the way – like hanging recessed lights, which I’ve got down pat now!

If you are new here, and are thinking, “huh?”, we have an exchange student (Holly) coming from South Korea today.  We wanted to have her this year, but didn’t have a bedroom for her, and it’s pretty close quarters to have Shea share her room.  We embarked (about 7 weeks ago) on an odyssey to build a bedroom from a sunroom – which had only storm windows, one outlet, and no heat or A/C.  It now has real windows (9!), lots of outlets, heat, A/C, carpet, closets, etc.  Here are pictures of our journey thus far.
